I started as a DJ back in 1984.
I loved music and wanted to be a radio DJ. An opportunity came
to me when I was 14 years old to work for a large disc jockey
service in Hamilton. I interviewed at my house because I
didn't drive yet. Its now 2008 and I am still here. Now with 18 disc jockeys, we are the largest DJ service outside of Toronto. The company did not get that big without help. I married Kathryn 12 years ago and she is the force behind the company. She runs the office full time during the day and most evenings. Without her, you wouldn't receive updates, contracts and everything else! She keep all the DJs in order! Kathryn and I are dedicated to making your experience with us as memorable as possible. Our secret to success is an understanding of what our clients are looking for and exceeding their expectations. Our disc jockeys are able to use all the details Kathryn organizes with you to execute a flawless event! With over 26 years in the business, and over 15,000 events completed, Bil Copeland DJ Services has earned the respect of many of the vendors we work with, the reception facilities we service and most of all....the respect of our clients! What that means is that with the investment in all the tools we provide you, our DJ cannot play what they want or what they are comfortable with. Unlike many of our FLASHy DJ Service competitors, it is impossible for the DJ to play the same music at event after event. Another thing we are very dedicated to and feel very strongly about is that fact we are not a booking agent. Some of our competitors book as many events as they can and then scramble to find DJs to cover the event. We are not like that. I own the equipment, the music and the DJs work exclusively for us.
