Saving money right off the bat!
If you have booked
your disc jockey services with us, you will receive our services
discounted for the stag and doe. Do not use a ROYAL
CANADIAN LEGION unless you can run the bar! Use a church,
lions club, Knights of Columbus. You must have be able to
run the bar. The stipulation may be that you use the staff
from the hall and that is fine. Most of your money will be
made at the bar. |

Door Prizes and Contests
Black Jack, Crown and Anchor and other gambling games are a fun
way to raise some money. You will be able to rent these at
any party supply store. Door prizes, raffles, 50/50 and
bottle giveaways. There are so many things you can do to
have fun and give something back, Ask friends to look
around for company perk giveaways or go out and buy some things
also. |

Planning a Date
A stag n doe generally
happens about 6 weeks prior to the wedding. Watch out for
long weekends! Never hold a stag n doe on a long weekend. |

Planning the giveaways
Be organized! If your stag n doe starts at 8 pm have early
bird door prizes up until 10pm. If you have 20 door
prizes, start your door prize draws at 830 and do 5 of them.
At 9pm do another 5, at 930 pm do another 5 and finally at 10 do
the last five door prizes. At 10pm do another 5 prizes for
the draws and so on every half hour until 1230 pm. If you
keep it flowing and organized people will stay right to the end.
A great thing we saw in 2004 was the dancing stopped at 1230 pm
and they brought out a Texas Mickey and did a toonie toss.
Closest one to the bottle wins the bottle. Have toonies
around to make change. After this, anyone who had money in
their pocket...doesn't anymore! 1245 to 1am is the wrap
up.

Dancing and DJs
Dancing is either on
or off at a stag n doe. Sometimes people just want to sit
and talk, gamble or other things. The DJ plays an
important part in making sure that things go off on time, the
raffles are done quickly and with hassles.

Themes
Doing a theme stag n doe is a great way to have fun! In
the winter do a beach party. In the summer do a picnic
style with baseball games up to a certain time with hotdogs and
hamburgers. How about a RETRO PARTY! |

Food
The food should come
out around 11pm and do some draws once most of the people have
been to the buffet. Cold cuts or a BBQ, you decide!
